Isabella Jordan Myers
August 20, 20095 months old today! It's phenominal how much she grows and advances every day! She cut her first teeth this week! the bottom front 2 teeth! She is rolling over from back to tummy and from tummy to back, waving hello and goodbye. She says "Da" and "Ba" yeah i know it's not quite "dada" but close! She can sit on her own for a couple of seconds before she topples over. I plan to wait a couple more months before I start her on solid foods but she is definitly wanting it! Her hair is still that beautiful red color and it curls when it is clean. She weighing apoximately 18 lbs and 25 inches long!
she has begun developing prefferences to the people around her. she rarely stops smiling even when she is tired and fussy. I swear she has to be the happiest baby in existance EVER. |

We're closing in on the 3 week old mark. Only 2 more days and 3 weeks will have passed! I can't believe that time passes by so quickly! It's amazing how much she has grown and developed in 3 weeks.
Isabella is amazing! she sleeps all night! (I am very blessed) and she naps well in the day time also. She loves riding in the truck, and playing with her brother and sister, ok well... watching them play. She has begun testing her voice and "talking". she does cry, but not often and has good reason to cry when she does. we didnt really hear her cry until last week when I was in the bathroom and she was hungry.
She is very strong and holds her head up well, and Kicks her legs and flings her little hands all over the place.
We had our 2 week check up last saturday. Isabella weighed 11 lbs. She was virtually the size Gabe was when he was born! Thats crazy! They pricked her foot to draw blood for the newborn screenings. And She didnt like that very much but it didnt take her too long to calm down.
I am still virtually on bed rest. . We went to church for the first time on Sunday and I Take The kids to school and pick them up but other than that I stay in bed!
We have been very blessed By people at church, bringing us food and some friends even came over the other day and did some laundry and cleaned my house. That was a pride breaking day but it was a good thing and I am so blessed!

Isabella Jordan Myers Made her appearance into the world at 12:27 Pm March 20th 2009, Weighing in at 9 lbs 5 oz, 21 1/4 inches long.I have a NEWBORN size baby! ^_^ PRAISE GOD!!
We are Home and we're doing great!
God is awesome! I'm not sure how to qualify length of Labor. Total I would say about 34 hours. I had contractions for about 4 1/2 hours Thursday morning from about midnight till 4:30 Am. We got to the midwife and everything pretty much stopped. so we left and went to moms around 2 pm. Mom offered to keep the kids another night because no one really thought it would be long before labor kicked back in. Mom and Jon wanted me to go back in to see my midwife and get checked thursday night So we drove back to the Birth Center at about 10:30. Heidi Checked me and I was 9 centimeters Dilated! (I was only 6 cm the last time they checked)
I was told that since there was hardly dilating left, they really didnt want me to go home so we stayed the night but nothing happend. We tried some herbal things through the night to try and encourage contractions but they didnt work. Heidi came in my room around 8:30 and suggested they go ahead and break the water. Baby was in position and ready so they broke my water at about 9:30 and bella was born at 12:27.
i don't remember how long but Jon, Heidi and I Sat and played board games for sometime, while my contractions regulated.
After they Broke my water I had contractions for about 3 hours. the last hour was really the only painful point. Pretty much All of my contractions prior to that point were almost painless.
The last Hour was really intense. heidi said that there was a lip of my cervix that was covering a part of the baby's head which is why i wasnt having any urge to push and the contractions were so painful at that point.
but that was easily remedied and jon said I only had to push 3 or 4 times before Isabella was out.
She did have a hard time breathing at first. She was taking breaths but they were shallow. So Heidi Gave her a few breaths through a mask and after that Isabella had no problem breathing after.God is so Faithful!
Jon was phenominal I couldnt ask God for a better husband! He was supportive comforting and encouraging the whole time! I love him so much! Thank you God for Jon!
Heidi was an awesome midwife also! I love her to death! She did an awesome job! She managed to take command when I was overwhelmed and indecisive. And when im like that its hard to get me to do things... even if for my benefit.

1 Week! The time doesnt seem to be passing by quickly enough! 4 1/2 centimeters, 60% efaced and her head is all the way down. we took the kids to the mall to walk around for a while to see if we could walk me into labor. No such luck. I did have contractions through sunday.
Today I took the kids to the park, took some pictures. Went to church and walked around with Shiloh and her friends. we walked down the hill and up and around. (Our church sits on top of a "mountain" The highest point in Dallas. So far theres alot of pressure and a couple contractions so far...

1 week and 3 Days until Isabella is Due to arrive. I can't wait. Jon and I are so excited, Its hard to wait... although for obvious reasons we have to wait. Last Saturday I was 4 centimeters Dilated. tomorrow I see my midwife again so We will find how much everything has progressed. In the meantime I will continue to trust God that his timing is perfect.
In other news. My car is dead until further notice. So my dad has lent me his truck for now. So that they (mom dad and jon) dont have to worry about me going into labor while walking the kids to or from school. Such a blessing! God is Good!
